The lead-acid type battery packs are the most traditional choice for blown alcohol and nitro racecars before the lithium type came along. These packs require charging often between events to maintain charge capacity. A popular combination is to purchase two of these packs and a parallel cable which allows the ability to run two packs to the starter for double the battery capacity although one of these packs is ample.
